What do I need to do before I can start driving?

You must be at least 17 years of age and have a Provisional Driving License from the DVLA. You can apply for your license online or by getting an application form from the post office.

You must also be able to meet a minimum eye sight requirement, so check that you can read a vehicle registration plate from 20.5 meters away (contact lenses and glasses are fine).

How much are driving lessons with A change of Lifestyle Driving School?

Our lessons are a Full 1 hour or 2 hours long, this represent true value for money and gives our pupils the maximum time possible behind the wheel. See our Prices Page.

How often should I have my driving lessons?

We recommend that you have 2 hour lessons as they enable you to progress more quickly and that you can take one or two driving lessons each week. Needless to say the more driving that you do the quicker you will learn.

How many driving lessons will I need to take?

The number of lessons required varies from pupil to pupil and is dependent on many factors, such as availability and learning ability.

The national average is approx 45 hours of professional tuition accompanied with approx 25 of private practice.

Does A change of Lifestyle Driving School offer intensive driving courses?

Yes we do offer intensive driving courses. These can be anything from one week upwards. Before you go ahead with an intensive course we will arrange for you to have a two hour driving assessment and advise you of your best route to test.

Do I need to pass the Theory Test before I can start my driving lessons?

No, but you will need to pass the theory test before applying for the practical test.

Where do I take my Theory Test?

The local Theory Test Centre for Bushmills and the surrounding area is in Ballymena.
